My Ultimate Leg Workout

When I want to burn away all the fat in my legs and at the same time build up some really good leg muscle, I do the following for my leg day!

  1. Spin Class
    • 45 minute high intensity spin class to burn at least 600 calories and sweat away all that fat in your legs – and even in the rest of your body!
  2. Kettlebell Lunge Walks
    • 20 steps (10 on each leg)
    • 4 sets
    • 60 seconds rest in between each set
  3. Barbell Overhead Squats
    • 8 squats per set
    • 3 sets
    • 45 seconds rest in between each set
  4. Step up Lunges
    • Hold 10kg dumbells on each hand and step up onto a bench with the same leg – 10 reps
    • Repeat 10 reps for other leg
    • 60 seconds rest in between each set
    • 4 sets
  5. Seated Leg Extension
    • 15-20kg weight – lift both legs at the same time, hold for 2 seconds when raised fully, then drop slowly
    • 10 reps
    • 3 sets
    • 45 seconds rest in between each set
  6. Leg Press Machine
    • 100kg weight
    • 10 reps
    • 3 sets
    • 60 seconds between each set
  7. High Knee JumpsĀ 
    • Final warm down with 10 high knee jumps
  8. Power Plate Warmdown
    • Relax all the pain your legs have been through with the vibrating machine called the Power Plate.
    • Alternatively, roll out your legs using a foam roller.
